Ofc later every single Assassin had his own hidden blade (even Thorvald Hjaltason, Assassin who lived in Svealand during 9th century and opposed Styrbjorn). Of course, there is another option - that AC writers didn't even consider at all about that connection between Origins and Odyssey and leave all this to us to make theories :D

In AC2 Darius is explicitly stated to be the first person recorded using the hidden blade and his statue features him with the blade on the underside of his forearm, as was conventional for all AC games until Odyssey, I believe.
